Company History

The Company was incorporated on 03-03-1987 as Savery Transport Finance Company Private limited. Subsequently the company became a Public Limited Company on 07-02-2002. The name of the company was changed on 12-11-2002 and subsequently on 22-9-2005 to Shriram Trade Finance Co Ltd. The company name was changed to Savery Transport Finance Ltd on 23-06-2015.

The Company is managed by the Managing Director ably supported by a team of professional managers under the supervision, direction & control of the Board of Directors.

Business Plans

      The Company is well established in the business of Hire Purchase finance. It has obtained and is holding a valid certificate of registration dated 06/10/2005 issued by the Reserve Bank of India. The company has been classified by the Reserve Bank of India as an Asset Finance Company.  The Company has been regular in complying with the applicable provisions of the RBI regulations. The requirement of funds for the financing activities is met with by the public deposits and secured, redeemable non-convertible debentures. The Company has been very regular and prompt in the repayment of the deposit/debentures and therefore there is no overdue deposit / unclaimed deposit. The repayment of deposit is not guaranteed by the RBI and the deposits are not insured.

     While the objective of the Company at the time of incorporation was to finance purchasing physical assets, such as automobiles, tractors, lathe machines, generators, earth-moving and material handling equipments, moving on own power and general purpose industrial machines. In practice, we have been mainly financing mostly two-wheeler and four-wheelers. This is very effectively and efficiently carried out through dedicated branches numbering 16 in TamilNadu under th e able guidance and supervision of a CEO stationed at Coimbatore.
